As an urban planning and architecture professional I have a strong commitment to improving, shaping and restoring the public realm through sustainable community development. With four years combined professional architecture and urban planning experience in both public and private sectors, I have had hands on experience at all stages of project design, development, and administration.
Completion of a Bachelor in Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Urban Design degree from Carnegie Mellon University, a five year professional degree and 12 month graduate program, respectively, has afforded me the opportunity to learn about and practice my profession in various global contexts. Educational and professional experiences in Rome, Italy, Kigali, Rwanda, and Santiago, Chile augment a globalized understanding of architecture and urban design practices and the importance of context, character, client, and comprehensive planning.
These experiences, coupled with a diverse professional portfolio of urban design and K-12 educational projects, have shaped a strong analytical and technical skillset and a unique perspective of the architecture development process. Core competencies include:
- Zoning Code Administration and Analysis
- Land Use Planning
- Public Outreach Facilitation
- Urban Design
- Transit Oriented Development
- Design Guidelines
- Sustainable Design
- Master Plan and Site Design
- Architectural Design and Detailing
